Packsaddle Cave Trail
1 reviews
 3 of 5

A long climb takes to an very cool limestone cave. The downhill on the way out is fast and fun. The last bit before the cave is pretty harsh. There are lots of trees down, and the creek crossings suck. I suggest leaving your bike at the first creek crossing then head up to the cave on foot. Total elevation gain is 900ft in two miles. Bring a flashlight for checking out the cave.

Summary:
The climb is long but the downhill is fun. The cave is big. We didnt have flashlights so didn't get to check it all out.

Recommended Route:
We started on Sherman Pass road and took the Rincon to Packsaddle cave trail. I dont recommend this unless you like climbing.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Cannel, Just Outstanding, Kern Canyon Trail, Keysville Classic
