A great trail with FAT DROPS! ride until you are about half way and there is about a 6 foot drop and a drop at the end that is 6-8ft depending on where you Hit it. Everything else is fine. Some technical sections and one scety section where your handle bars just fit through.

Ridden Once

Summary:
(i've actually ridden this one once and a half cuz i rode the lower section once then the whole thing cuz i wanted to see what it was like)

Awesome freeride trail (double black) that has almost no chattery braking bumps. It's technical, in that there are some brief rocky bits that are difficullt to navigate, silty in places, and rock rollers into G-outs kinda stuff. A nice jump line toward the end, really fun. You don't have to ride your brakes if you're new (to freeride) like you do on Mammoth's Velocity or Northstar's Gypsy (didn't really like that one)

Recommended Route:
If you don't have a freeride or downhill bike (like me) I wouldn't recommend doing the rock roller on the outside of a certain righthand turn, cuz there's a big g-out at the bottom.

Everywhere else is fine. The Jumps and wooden things are very well-made, just like everything else on that mountain.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
EVERY SINGLE TRAIL IN NORTHSTAR!!!!

Flameout(the upper part), Livewire (even though i broke a lot of spokes), Woods,

Oh, ya if you do Over-Under, there is a 4-foot drop at the end of the "over" line (had to buy a new helmet... get a Remedy!)

Summary:
Rocky, technical, I don't recommend it unless you have a true downhill bike, this trail is rocky and will beat the crap out of any other bike. Probably Northstar's most technical trail.

Recommended Route:
Take the new high speed six seater chair (forgot what it was called) to the top where the Tahoe Mountain Resorts club is (The chair that randomly has gondola's attatched to the cable), and go towards the right after getting off the chairlift. Follow the ridge trail until you see signs for boondocks.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Every one at Northstar. A lot.

Ridden Trail:
Once a year

Reviewed by: Chris , from Pleasanton Ca

Summary:
This trail has multiple drops, one is 10 ft at the bottom of the trail. It has the best dirt & rocks. If you thought sticks was a good trail, this is far better. Can't figure out why more people don't know about this trail?

Recommended Route:
At the top off the 2nd chair go right for about 1 mile & follow the signs. It's well worth the slight climb to get there.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Sticks & Stones, Karpiel & Dogbone.
