007 Trail

The trail is rumored to go 22 miles but I've only made it 6-7 miles the day I rode. Just keep riding up and when you're ready turn around and hit the killer downhill. It's a tight singletrack with banked turns and dozens of jumps. There are a few rocky sections and some ruts but to so many as too slow you down too much.

Trail Directions
Drive to Oakhusrt Ca on Hwy 41 or Hwy 49. From Oakhurst head to Bass Lake go to the north east side of the lake. Follow the road to the end of the lake to Central Camp Road. It is a dirt/gravel road. Near the start of the road on the left is the start of the singletrack. It would be possible to shuttle this ride since the fire road crosses the singletrack a few times as you head up the mountain.

Summary:
the trail is amazingly fun for any type of riding and any style the only downside is that it takes along time to get to the top if you are not being shuttled. there are three parts to 007. top part is fun and very quiet and you feel like noone is around but its beautiful and during hot days its cool up there. The middle part is alot of technical riding. I remember barely seeing any dirt but more rockgardens :). The lower part is pure speed, flow and fun. theres a bunch of little jumps and a little technical section which you can also jump over if your looking for speed.
I live right there and if anyone wants to go riding there hit me up. Definetely my favorite local trail around and last time i even found a nice bontrager heavy duty downhill tube and a pouch. :D

Recommended Route:
have a shuttle bring you up old central camp road and then have fun on the trail

Other recommended trails in the same area:
-goat mountain
-miami creek trails
-willow creek trail

Summary:
It was one of the best downhill trails I have ridden in California. A lot of bank turns and a couple of nice little jumps.

Recommended Route:
I rode to the top of the second section which was not fun. I would deffinately had chosen to shuttle up if I had the choice, it is a long, steady, hot climb and has a lot of mosquitos. So shuttle up if you have a choice!!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Goat mountain trail is fun XC trail

Summary:
Very fun trail, with everything you could ask for. Set up for DH bikes, but XC bikes can manage. It only gets tough in the rock gardens, which there are only a few of.

Recommended Route:
Park at damn accross from Central Camp Rd, then ride up Central Camp. Easy, but enjoyable warm-up and you can hit the trail at 3-4 points. I rode to the very top of the trail and rode down. The bottom of the 3 sections is the funnest and quickest. Middle section has a rough rock section.
