Powerline Trail

Nice mix of quick uphills and fun downhills. You''ll go over 3 creek crossings (all easily manageable). Great downhill section about 4 miles into the ride. It''s a good beg/int. ride. Only issue is that it gets very sandy in some areas so be ready to be pushed from side to side. If you run through it fast you should have no problems.

Summary:
This was a nice summer morning trail. The hardest part is a fairly steep climb up Ski Run Blvd to the trailhead. Theres a good mix of uphill and downhill, singletrack and fireroad, a couple parts are pretty dusty and sandy. A lot of it is covered in shade. Lots of nice scenary, especially overlooking the lake and valley. You cross a couple creeks, really nice resting spots. The best part of the trail is called "Best Little Downhill", its a fast downhill section with a lot of jumps, rolls, and wide berms. I liked this trail a lot.

Recommended Route:
Just stay on Powerline and ride it down to the bottom, you can also loop around and come back up on the other side trails.

Summary:
Great ride you can ride to the trail head from the hotels on Lake Tahoe Blvd. by taking the short steep climb up Ski Run Blvd. Lots of ups and downs which is fun. I went in the late summer so there was a lot of sand and dusty dirt on the trails. Don't use your break ride through it. Overall ride from the hotel was 17 miles half of which was on the dirt. Lots of fun

Recommended Route:
From Ski Run Blvd. all the way out to Pioneer Trail, then back on Pioneer approx. 7 miles to the start.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Flume Trail in North Lake Tahoe
