Weekend Warrior Summary: dont be fooled the trail from whiskey flat to spikes peak is brutal and the down hill is amazing. if you stay on whiskey flat you will enjoy creek riding and some minor climbs. go east to the middle of the park and it is some of the best riding around.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from El Dorado Summary: I rode the east most loop(about 8 miles, don't remember the names) and it was a good ride. The climbs were long but fairly easy. The down hills were a blast and the trails were fireroads. Coming back was all single track but other than about a 1/2 mile of switchbacks were not technical. The terrain was beautiful and I would definitely recommend this park for a winter ride. We were out for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning and didn't see a soul. The ground drys out quickly and is above the fog. I would rate for a beginner who can ride up hills. Recommended Route: Many options

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Patterson, CA Summary: It's mostly fireroad and if you don't have time to go anywhere else I guess it will do. There is very little singletrack and it's mostly at the far side away from the park entrance. The climbs are good and most beginners will not have fun doing them. The downhills are ok, not very technical since they're mostly fireroads. You can get maps at the entrance. Recommended Route: I really don't recomend a route since I don't recomend this place. Other recommended trails in the same area: Keep driving and go to Henry W. Coe about 45 miles west. More singletack than you can shake a stick at.
