Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail has a little bit of everything. Some good downhill towards the end of the trial but first you have to climb the 800ft granite face. If you are good in the saddle and have a big set of lungs on you, you may be able to ride up the granite but most people walk it. Either way it's a great cardio workout.
Be careful not to get lost the first time on the granite. Look for the rock piles, red ribbon and chalk arrows to guide you. There is a yearly race there in the summer which is great fun. Good for beginners and expert riders. Not for those who just want to go downhilling. Recommended Route: There are two routes to the granite. First you can go left at after the second gate on the single track. Secondly you can keep on the double track on take a right at each fork you come to till the granite. Other recommended trails in the same area: OO7, buckridge.

, from santa clara, california Summary: Sometime in late 2002 or early 2003, this trail has been bulldozed to an ugly 15 to 20 feet width. The damage is right up to the start of the granite section. You can still ride here, but it is not the same. Expect more dust than usual for the next year or so.
Recommended Route: It's a figure eight, take the west side of both loops to start, climb the granite, then return back to the start along east side.
