Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Irvine Summary: A great ride except on weekends when it can be alittle too crowded with walkers and runners Recommended Route: I ride 15 min. from my house to the bottom of the trail. Go to the bottom kiosk and make a right up the east loop. This has several climbs which can be a challenge for any level except maybe experts. I then join up with the lake loop including the detour to the view point. There is one tough climb in this section. I then return back to the bottom using the east trail that I came up on. This route takes about 35 minutes to complete. I usually end my workout by riding hard up the central canyon trail about 8 minutes of uphill riding and cruise back down to the bottom kiosk and then home. The entire ride takes about 1 hour 15 min. and is a great workout with plenty of challenges for most levels if you go the right route.

, from Tustin Summary: Again see my comments at the other review location. I love riding here since it is close and convenient to home, and a lot of fun, but 5 tires!?!?!?!? Come on, not even close!!! This is a beginner trail. Go ride Aliso or Whiting and compare. Recommended Route: See my reivew under "PETERS CANYON PARK". They are the same place. Other recommended trails in the same area: Santiago Oaks

, from Tustin Summary: Peters Canyon has good scenery, and enough trail diversity to make it interesting for all riders. When I take my kids we stick to the west trail. When I ride alone or with seasoned riders, we take the east trail and some of the single track tributaries. Recommended Route: Park down my Peters Canyon School on the South side and ride up the trail to the top to the dam. You'll be on the west trail. Continue around the lake, past the parking lot and then you get into some very flat single track. A couple of hill climbs and down hills and your back at the base of the base of the dam. For intermidiate or advanced riders you'll want to take the east trail back down to the south entrance. I clock about 5-6 miles round trip. Other recommended trails in the same area: Black Star, Trabuco, Whiting Ranch, Horsewip

, from Fountain Valley Summary: This was a fun trail, I only did the Lake View Loop with the Cactus Point Trail option. I did it on a Thursday morning so the entire trail was mine. Once you drop down behind the dam there is, (in my opinion) one hell of a hill, I had to hike-a-bike. The downhill on the other side is equally steep. My total trip was 2.7 miles. Recommended Route: Lake View Trail w/ Cactus Point Trail Other recommended trails in the same area: There is water at the top of the parking lot near the information kiosk, maps are available there too. I plan on going back and taking the lower canyon trail. I am a beginner, and would definitely recommend this trail to the new rider.

, from South Coast Metro Summary: With agreement with the other reviewer, this route brings a fast workout for someone on limited time. You warm up with a slight upgrade till you get towards the top, then you're going to push it a bit. Go around the lake through heavy brush.(be cautious to horses, hikers, and other riders, around blind corners), then scale the hill on the west side of the lake. When you go down you'll go pretty fast.(not recomended for newbies or bikers who think helmets don't look cool). The momentum will shot you up another steep hill, about 2/3 the way, either you pedal the rest of the way or walk it. There the trail forks off, take either one will lead you to the same place.(the fork on the left is short and steep, you ride on your brake cause at the bottom is a sharp left.Frm here you basically head down the trail you climbed up. so agian you'll move fast.agian be safe and be cautous of hiker and horses. Recommended Route: I like to park down in Lemon Heights so you dont pay the 2 buck fee. Start from the drainage ditch and take the main trail up to the top, circle around the lake then head back taking the top fire trail. All in all its a 10 mile tour and takes about an hour with some killer grades to scale. Other recommended trails in the same area: I give this trail a five because it offers a lot a variety through the loop, and you can work on riding skills on this trail.
