Millerton Lake Trail
2 reviews
 3 of 5

Hard pack singletrack along the lake. Starts at the lake, climb for a mile or so and drop down to the lake again. The trail stays near the shore more or less suposedly all the way to Squaw Leap. It's out and back so you end with the climb.

Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Summary:
This is a cool trail and there is a better side to it on Winchells Cove. Unfortunately, some idiots complained that bikers were ripping up the trail and it is now closed when their watching. Suggestions ask park rangers at gate to re-open the trail. There is rumor that they might re-open it, but we need more people to express their opion and show support for the trail. This is a awesome trail when it's open. This trail is for all levels.

Recommended Route:
Same route as other discriptions

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Sky Harbor. Better than Friant Millerton.

Ridden Trail:
Every few months

Summary:
Start at the parking lot and go up a rode. Go on the rode until you hit the single track. You'll go along the lakeside which is overlooked by a residential area. Finally, you leave the residential area but you stay near the lake. Toward the middle of the ride there is a steep short climb. Once reaching the peak there is a steep short downhill that takes you back toward the lake. That marks the return to the parking lot.

Recommended Route:
When I rode the trail with my friends we started at the big parking lot area that you'll see if you're coming from highway 41.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
After getting started on this trail, I took a downhill influence and upgraded that bike and moved on to ride the 007 trail.
