, from Ridgecrest, CA USA Summary: Ignore the star ratings. It's just that I'm making a slight correction to his directions. Recommended Route: The Goler Canyon of which you write is located on the east side of Panamint Valley, east going toward Death Valley. If it were on the west side then you'd be headed toward Trona, your starting point. I've checked the topo maps of this entire area.

, from yorkshire , england Summary: awesome ascent for 2 hours. loads to see, plants, animals, old mine buildings and equipment. little water in march and it reached high 80's so a summer ascent would be suicide. the descent back down is fabulous. we'll be back Recommended Route: as described, we went to the summit and back down the same side but its quite feasable to do the full ride over into death valley, stay over and ride back the next day. Other recommended trails in the same area: any of the side canyons in either the panamint valley or death valley. early sring was superb riding weather
