Ridden Trail:
Once a year

Summary:
Velo Promo put on a race every April. It's a fast and fun course. No real climbing to speak of. Not really technical or very challenging but difficult if your trying to keep up with the fast guy in front! I don't think this trail is good enough to justify a special trip, but if you happen to be in Angels Camp or New Melones Lake, be sure your bike is with you. I haven't been here in the summer but I imagine it could be quite hot.

Recommended Route:
Follow the fast guy in front of you

Summary:
This is a nice intermidiate trail. Decent work out. Nice short, steep climb yields really nice downhill with tight switch backs. It's a nice place to take friends and family. They can hang out at the swimming beach or a picnic table if they don't ride. The ride is only 1.5-2hrs so we usually stay for a bbq and adult beverages. Spring and fall are best. And just as others have stated, this trail drains well after a rain, so it's a good winter ride as well. BUT DON"T RIDE IF IT'S MUDDY! Whoever maintains this trail does a great job, so please respect the rules!

Recommended Route:
All of it. I always start at Glory Hole boat ramp and do Buck Brush first. Then the loop around glory hole point. Once back at the lot, ride across the road and do an out and back for the rest.

Summary:
Was there yesterday and really liked it. Do all the trails and it's a good two hour ride. Great place to train as it's easy to keep your heart in a target zone. Dogz like it too. No horzes! Rides well after rain.

Recommended Route:
Same as above. Lots of new trails, check um out.

Summary:
we camped here while all the bikers were camped out for the Jumping Frog Festival. this added a bizarre aspect to what otherwise might have been a quiet camping/riding trip. i highly reccommend camping here if the opportunity presents itself--there's nothing better in this world than being able to camp and then to go on a King Hell ride in the morning. i remember killer fast singletrack, and i remember some man-made stuff in some of the trails that i rode around, but riders with better skills can easily clean. i also remember lots of rattlesnakes , one short granny gear climb, and not being able to finish the ride due to landing HARD on my hip. i remember nearly one hundred degree heat. i remember the little drops on the sweet tarts candy later that day and sitting in the lake in my camping chair, without a care in the world. i remember the bar b que and the medicated guava juice bottle afterwards and staring at the campfire, with all of its fiery color, and thinking about how much i want to ride at this place again. yes, camping and mountain biking go together very well. four stars due to my initial impression and desire to camp and ride here again.

Recommended Route:
follow the rider in front of you.

Summary:
Same as below but the trails have been extended. A really fun section has been added off of Angel's Loop near the boat ramp.

Recommended Route:
Every thing.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Red Hills in the winter... to rocky to be muddy.
