Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Westwood, CA Summary: Mellow and easy. I ride here when I want to ride but don't want to spend all day on a backcountry workout or dodge cars on a highway. It's great on hot summer days. When you get heated just stop anywhere along the shore and jump in. Lots of use during summer weekends when campers in the area use it. If you are spending a weekend with kids and the family at Lake Almanor bring your bikes. Rating is one for difficulty, four for enjoyability. Overall 3 Recommended Route: I usually park at the Almanor Campground boat ramp and ride up and back the entire length. Other recommended trails in the same area: Bizz Johnson Trail, also reviewed on this site.
