Diego Garcia is a small island in the Indian Ocean just south of the equator. It's a horseshoe shaped island. About a half mile wide, but 7 or 8 miles long. Not much climbing, but you can ride your bike through the wildlife reserve trails, and the otehr trails in the jungle like areas on teh island. Beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, lots of beautiful plants, birds, insects, marine life etc. Not a challenging ride, but if you've ever been to Diego, you know there isn't much else to do. You'll be glad you brought your bike!
You have to be military to go to this small beautiful tropical island in the Indian Ocean just south of the equator, but if you get there, you will be wishing you had your bike. If you can't bring your bike, they have some beaters you can rent for like a dollar a day.
Summary: Im a beginner, But the trail was pretty crazy for me, Glad to see it was on the site, Its definetly the funnest thing to do on this island, a little rough climbing, A LOT of coconuts and tree limbs, and wear your damn helmet, cause theyre are low clearances that if you miss you might get knocked out. I got stopped by my head hitting one that I forgot was there today. Also watch the mud areas, There are a couple deep enough to engulf your entire front wheel and send you over the front of the bike, Overall best fun one the island. Cant wait to get the new bike home and try some washington trails.
Recommended Route: Go to cannon point, the trail is right there.
Other recommended trails in the same area: the security forces humvee offroad area. If you like going through deep water.

Summary: Wet, rocky, tight corners. Every month or so you need to take a machete and wack back some undergrowth (at least in 95') Don't wreck, the crushed corral and bugs will do a number on you! Not recommended for beginners, but if so, you'll learn in a hurry!
Recommended Route: The trail off the end of the antenna field at "R" site in the direction of "C" site...
Other recommended trails in the same area: Anything you can cut through the jungle, or just follow a wild chicken!
