Vista Chinesa

It's an extremely technical trail with some good downhills which requires a lot of skill. The ground is covered with sharp rocks and large roots, not to mention that frequently there are tree logs which fell on the way down so I recommend you a full suspension bike. I also recommend you to wear a lot of protective equipment, because this trail is quite fast (32 mph in the fastest part) and dangerous. There are many parts where you'll have to go very slowly with a lot of technique.

Go up to the Vista Chinesa tourist spot on the top of Jardim Botanico's mountain where you can have a great view of Rio's city landscape. you can go up the road riding your bike, but I recommend a car, otherwise you'll get there exausted. The trail starts just left of the Vista Chinesa spot.

Summary:
This trail is so perfect that you can make a Downhill World Cud race and also in the way of Parque da Cidade you can also make a Cross Coutry race. The only problem is the lack of investiments in trail work.

Recommended Route:

Summary:
Best trail in Rio. I realy recommend you a full suspension bike, otherwise your hard tail will suffer.
Don't ever go alone, since it's a extremely dangerous trail, you can get hurt seriously and there's no way to call help. Always go with someone who has already riden on it. It's only recommended for experienced downhillers.
If you think you're good enough to face it, don't think twice, you'll have a lot of fun. To reach the bottom of the mountain, you'll have to proceed on Horto's trail.

Recommended Route:
See above.
