Visit our site www.perubike.com and look the pics of Pachacamac and you will see what I am talking about. Singletracks.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Went with my Cuz and his Peruvian friends to Pachacamac to do the Chirimoyo and Las Lomas trails. It was way toasty when we started and got brutal at the end of the ride. This is a must do. It has long hard climbs that get steeper and steeper. It is almost all sweet ST with tons of fast off camber and exposed stuff. I finished this 24 mile ride a beaten man. The heat and humidity were severe. Still, if you are an advanced rider looking for heart pounding climbs and fast but dangerous downhills, then this is your place. You will not be let down, to the contrary, you will leave with a grin and possible scrapes and bruises. A must do if in Lima. May I say EPIC? Yes, oh yes! Same trails the Inca civilization used before the Spaniards came. Bring tons of water or you will pay the man! Be prepared and a confident rider. Not much room for errors here. Go to Peru Bike in Mira Flores , talk to the owner Cesar. He will head you in the right direction. Great Guy. Peruvians are the kind! Recommended Route: Take the autopista to the Lurin -Pachacamac exit. Stop to get a Surtido which will help fight the cramps. Head east through town and park at the kiosk (they have cold Coca-Cola here for after the ride). Follow the path to the ST and follow the route. Spellbinding folks. P.S.watch out for the two dogs at the first shack on the right. The like to scare folks on bikes. This loop can be extented but you will need local MTBers to show you the way. Do not get lost. It is barren!! Other recommended trails in the same area: Can not wait to find the other ones but have to have a guide.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Located within the Lurin Valley the lush Pachacámac hills are webbed with single track (goat and sheep paths) that have been used since the time of the caveman. Located 45 Km south of Lima, the Pachacámac hills stand out as green areas along the long coastal desert.
Pachacámac gives us a chance to appreciate these unique micro climates and also to discover mountain bike routes for all levels. Recommended Route: all of them Other recommended trails in the same area: SANTO DOMINGO DE LOS OLLEROS

, from Burtonsville, MD USA Summary: I went to Peru for a visit and hooked up with Pachacamac Aventuras. They took me out on what is possibly one of the best rides I have ever done. The trail is mostly singletrack through some very rugged and technical trails, lots of rocks and off-camber paths. There is lots of lung bursting climbing and plenty of big Grin (and ring) descents. If you are an accomplished rider and if you are in Lima for more than a few days you should definetly go on this ride, you'll love it. Recommended Route: The Chirimoyo Loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Santo Domingo de los Olleros to San Bartolo
