Cuzco to Pisac via Valle Sagrada

Average Rating:    (3 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 1

Paved roads, fireroads, some singletrack from Cuzco to Pisac. Ascend into the foothills over Cuzco. Descend and ride through the sacred valley and the village of Calca to the town of Pisac. Roundtrip between between Cuzco and Pisac about 20 miles. If you have a free morning or afternoon in Cuzco, find a guide - there are several in town. Keep in mind the elevation is about 11,000 ft and there is a condiderable, although non-technical climb at the beginning.

Trail summary as described above. The most exciting thing about the trail is getting off the paved road/fire roads and into the hills with some breathtaking views of the terraced hills. Also, realizing that you are at 11,000ft elevation. Not the most exciting ride I have done. Not very technical, except for a few sections of rocky-loose dirt singletrack. Would not specifically do this trail if I had more time to spend in the area, but it did provide a nice half-day excursion to pass the time.

Recommended Route:
Check with guides/rental.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
None that I was aware of.
