Antenas del Pichincha

Average Rating:    (0 of 5)

10 km dirt (occasional cobblestone) zig zag climb above the city, gaining 600 meters or so in altitude. When you get to the top, you can keep going on a much rougher single-track (push, pull, drag) to the next crest of the hill, and then there are rough trails heading back into the core of the mountain, up to about 4300 meters, from where you can climb to the peak at 4700.

Trail Directions
From Avenida Occidental, head south from the El Bosque mall until you get to a road heading off to your right (west) opposite the turnoff that goes east down Ave. Maosca. Head up the hill, do a couple zigzags until there is a large apartment building on your left. At this point, you can either go left after the building or straight, to two different ends of the trail that merge about 2 km up.
