It's hard to describe this place. It's filled with titanic, fantastic looking mountains, with beatiful rock formations. There are many routes you can ride through this vast area. I've personally ridden a 60 km route, traversing immense valleys, exploring silent canyons, and riding beautiful singletrack, being surrounded by astonishing mountains all the time. No kidding, the views here are TOTALLY BREATHTAKING, you'll never forget them. This is a fantastic place, and it isn't crowded at all. The first 25 kms. are wide track, filled with rocks, traversing two vast valleys. Then, you enter the first part of the "Can de Ballesteros", a stunning canyon. 15 kilometers later, the singletrack startes, passing through forgotten "ranchos" and little villages. Finally, the last part of the canyon is ahead, and 10 kms. later, you get to the end of this journey.
If you're in good shape, you can do all this in one day. But if you want to enjoy it even more, you can make camp somewhere on the route.
And remember, this is not the only route there is.
I'll be exploring others.
If you have any questions or need more directions for getting there, feel free to send me a mail.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Summary: I rode part of this trail in Nov, 2000. It is a dry rocky creekbed. I only had time to ride about 6 miles in(all uphill)and back out. You will see beautiful canyon walls and tiny rustic farm huts w/ goats, some cattle and maybe a shepherd dog or two(beware). I would love to go back and do the whole thing. Also beware of nasty bite of the noseeums(mosquito repellent recommended). I havent done it all so I really cant rate it accurately.(but will give it 4 not to rate it down)
