, from Cape Town Summary: For a ride slap bang in the middle of the 'burbs, this is an awesome hour and a half of fun. It's a pretty intense ride, because there are no flat areas along the course. When you're not gasping for breath from climbs, you're screaming with joy at the descents. Be aware that this is nature reserve and treat it accordingly - do not build new jumps or drop offs. If you see guys riding quads, 4x4 vehicles or motorbikes, please report them - they shouldn't be there and they're messing up our trails. Recommended Route: Tygerberg MTB Club meet at Van Riebeeckshof Mall every Wednesday evening at around 5:30 to ride Majik Forest. From the car park, ride with houses on your left and river on your right. As soon as you can, head left along the edge of the forest, climbing to the top trail. From here, ride mostly across the slope along single track before descending into the forest and working your way back up to the vineyards. From here, it's a long loop around the vineyards and on to the trig beacon. Ride on past the electricity substation and up the BIG hill beyond. From the top of the hill, ride around the back, then down the front and back onto the jeep track. Finish with single track and drop-offs back to the river, then turn right and head back to the car park. This loop is approximately 12km long.
