A fantastic combination of Fire Roads and single track. Wonderful mix of terrain, some of it very technical but incredible satisfying with of course Scottish Scenery to die for.

Summary:
mabie's been improving over the past few years anyway, 7stanes is amazin and the red route has some of the best traiils iv been on. but the best bit is the black route, or maybe the scorpion i think its called, thats pretty good too, fast and steep with some good jumps in it. didnt get a chance to ride it properly last time i was there cos i had a 2.8 on the rear and it rubbed on the frame worse than an angle grinder on every landing, but thats my fault. boxxers soaked up the jump track no bother!

Summary:
The Red route is fantastic following some re-modelling work - love the new North Shore raised sections ! Some great fast singletrack, technical climbs and descents, what more do you want !
The bad news is that Rik's Bike Shed is no longer open - but has moved to Drumlanrig Castle about 15-20 miles away

Recommended Route:
The main red route for intermediate riders is the best fun going - and none of the killer climbs that you find elsewhere ... mentioning no names.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Drumlanrig (where Rik's Bike Shed has gone), Dalbeattie.

Summary:
Hey this place just gets better and better, much new work to the red route by the 7stanes crew' cheers Andy, keep up the good work, route feeling decidedly more 'man made' but hey what's going in good fun. Technical, natural sections towards the end are classic tho' - I'll echo the previous comments 'something for everybody'

Recommended Route:
Riks Red Route

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Drumlanrig Castle has some excellent natural singletrack and Dalbeattie has more of the man made feel, both brilliant

we were there a couple of weeks ago and we rode the dh for hours the got lost and ended up doing the red run twice for no reason then we went to the jump spot great jumps but the landing are a bit dodgy. the whole place is great and even if you do get lost its easy enuf to find a way back to rik's.

Recommended Route:
red, jumps and best of all downhill

Other recommended trails in the same area:
