Summary:
for anyone to give this trail more than 3 stars only means you couldn't have possibly ridden anywhere else. The dene is full of little kids on cheapo bikes which can be more than a little annoying.
There are two main areas to play, one at each end of the dene, one has a couple of mid sized doubles(very poorly maintained) decent drop off and a couple of small jumps and a couple of short (under 30sec) downhill runs, the other is a bombhole, which tbh if it has rained lately it's not worth going down, the motorbikers wreck anything you build, Ok to ride if your local and short on time(and if it's summer) but not worth a trip.

Recommended Route:
Start on the fenwick pit heap and hit some drops and chutes then head off down the farm road to the bomb hole, stay there till ur sick n then head over the river into the housing estate, turn right cross the road and pass the pub and head to the other half of the dene, again go down the farm road and play at the next spot(turn in the dene at the 1st entrance and there is tracks over that fence and on the other side of the river straight opposite), after there you can follow the dene downstream which gives you a nice little blast on a footpath finishing up next to the chippy.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
gosforth park jumps, fenwick heap for drop offs and chopwell for singletrack.

there is a fairly good jump spot although could do with maintainence.there are also sevral short downhill runs.the dene makes for a couple of hours play.i constructed the trails so if u r caught damaging the be prepared to die.

Recommended Route:
there are sevral ways in.the dene can be entered via seaton sluice hollywell or the whitley bay end.to get to the trails follow any bridalway roughly to the ccentre of the dene.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
localy backwort pit is a good play area along with the local bombhole further through the dene.

great place.
there is a superb trials course.but i aint into that!
but theres is also 6or 7 downhill/d/s runs there
and a jump section wif table tops, burms, doubles, sections, ect, ect
if you carry on along the route you come to a place called te 'canyon' this has a very large bombhole and some more downhills and dropins... but beware of the many motocross bikes that plauge the area. then if you continue further you come to a dissused pit. this has some serious downhill and a proper motocross track biut by the many m-x riders round the area.

Recommended Route:
down back track

Other recommended trails in the same area:
canyon,pit,penny pit,
