Fun for short bike rides at weekends Esher common in itself is not really a trail but a common... as is suggested by the name! There are a scattering of little jumps and a couple of dropoffs, lots of stumpjumps - there are a few bowls and dips and a small hill on which you can do some short DH sections if you really want! (but don''t try to ride up the hill in question - you''ll get about 3/4 of the way and then be stopped by wheel spin on roots etc.!) Anyway, new jumps can always be dscovered, there are a few quite good jumps - one of my favourites has a small bowl which you go into and then pedal a bit up the other side and on the rim of the bowl is a fun little jump which lands into a down hill slope. You get about 2-3-4 ft air depending on how fast you go. Other jumps have easy run ups too - just drop down off a ridge and the jump is ahead of you! Perfect for hardtails but FS would be fine too! Me and my friend go there on saturdays usually - we''re gonna get a spade in there and build some new jumps! So if you live near, get yourself down here and see what you think!

Trail Directions	The main entrance to Esher common is located in Copsem lane - just outside Esher. from Esher high street, pass the Bear Inn and take a left. Continue down this road until there are no more houses on either side of the road. The last named road branching off you should see is called copsem way - on the left side if you are coming from Esher. Carry on down the road and about 150 - 200m from the end of the road (the A3 is down here - you can come this way too) you come to a car park. Go in! Find the paths over the ridge thing around the car park (these ridge things can be used as starter jumps!)
