go through gate & climb track to the gate into coed y garnedd.follow track & bare left at split in track(to the right is a fireroad) & ride up single track until arrow points right,there take a right through a downhill section to a f.r,go straight ahead & start climb up the f.r.at the top take a sharp left and follow overgrown f.r until it becomes a singletrack,follow up to trig point(you'll need to carry your bike as part of it is quite steep)where you decsend s.t to where it opens up a little take sharp left & descend through a muddy patch down to where track splits into two-it's up to you which direction to take as they both lead to the same f.r only at different places-always turn left & follow f.r past lake to the rd(b4410).cross rd & enter mb trails on the northen side of coed y garnedd(follow blue then red).complete red trail through trees & follow f.r to 'b' road.turn right & head for croesor,go through village towards cnicht up steep rocky track to gate & style.follow downhill track through 4 gates until you reach cae dafydd rd,turn left & left again to join a4085 back to penrhyndeudraeth.don't forget to stop at the 'ring' at llanfrothen for a bevvy.

from porthmadog on the a487 turn left at penrhyndeudraeth onto the a4085,follow rd up the hill,over ffestiniog railway crossing & turn right on sharp left hand bend.follow tarmac rd until you reach a house & gate with arrow pointing in the direction to take.

Superb tracks but the legality of the fist section is questionable.
(Best to ride with no walkers about,some of the single tracks are used by the local residential centre owned by the Nat Park)
The official tracks over the road are under used and deserve to be recognised,great fun to try and ride without falling off in places 1000% more technical than coed y brenin.
