Ridden Trail: Every few months

Racer Summary: If you're in East England and cannot go anywhere else, go to Thetford. I wouldn't recommend anyone travel to Thetford with the intention of mountain biking. With that being said, there are a lot of 'pirated' trails in Brandon County Park (across the street from Thetford). I personally like Thetford's Red route better than the black but both tracks are fun; twisty fast singletrack through the trees. The singletrack is buffed out and can be ridden as fast as you can peddle your bike. There is nothing technical and you don't really need any suspension, but there are some bombholes that are fun to play in. The black route is misnamed because there is nothing black about it. It would be a green route in Wales, Scotland or the Lakes. The red route is a green route as well. However, the forest has made some great trails in a very flat area. Recommended Route: If you want to mountain bike, go somewhere with mountains. If you are in East England and have nowhere else to go, goto Thetford or Brandon County Park. Got to the Brandon County Park headquarters and ride East. You'll see single track everywhere. Other recommended trails in the same area: Brandon County Park

Cross Country Rider Summary: Nice trail, but for a 'black' run it wasn't too taxing, other than the non stop stutter bumps. Other recommended trails in the same area: Danbury woods (North Essex) are much more technical

Weekend Warrior Summary: Good trail. It was really wet and muddy. But thats all good. The trail gets confusig with other parts of the trail/other trails crossing over it alot. It was a bit technical for a newbie like my self. But I still had a blast.

Cross Country Rider Summary: The black run around the forest is the best, but does get very wet in the winter. There are plenty more single track around that isn't mark, and it's easy to lose your sence of direction. Plenty of fast runs and bomb holes. Recommended Route: Almost all of the single track

, from Pimpchester, Essex Summary: It's a cool run if you're only in Thetters once, otherwise get off it and do some exploring. There's good stuff elsewhere and the constant use makes it a quagmire during winter. Recommended Route: Not the Black run. Other recommended trails in the same area: Loads, but I'm not telling!
