Meanwood Woods
4 reviews
 4.5 of 5

Whatever you make of it - superb technical woodsy singletrack, short sharp climbs and descents, rocks, roots, steps, a couple of big bombholes. Make it as easy or as hard as you like and follow any track you come across, there are many peachy stretches of singletrack but a few bad ones too. Just go exploring. NOTE THAT THIS TRAIL IS A FOOTPATH BUT BIKE ACCESS SEEMS TO BE TOLERATED AT PRESENT. PLEASE RIDE WITH CONSIDERATION FOR OTHER USERS AND STICK TO BRIDLEWAYS BEYOND THE TOP CAR PARK. From here you can head out to Harewood, Eccup, Wike and The Chevin.

Summary:
you can actually extend this route by starting behind the Hyde Park pub near woodhouse moor and going down the side of the technical school and joining up with the path and going left. the countryside really can be accessed from the city centre all the way out !
