, from Reading Summary: This is the course that got me into downhill. Met the scousers here in 1997/8. I used to ride with my girlfriend Laura (loopy). I didn't realise this course still existed, I thought the forestry boys had wrecked it. Best course south of Hadrians wall, Laura broke her pelvis here in 2000 and I did my shoulder and ribs the following year, top course. Quick note on attitude, I agree with cathy below that the litter can be a problem (we used to clear it at the end of the day) and we do need to be careful crossing the paths, the bridle ways are ancient rights of way, technically the DH couse is an illegal track. I am sure if we are considerate to the other users in the area then we should avoid any major confrontations, remember, one accident and we could find ourselves banned from this area completely. if your attitude is "fuck the walkers" , you can guarantee problems, so why not grow up and next time you meet some one on the trail say "hello" (I know this can be difficult after a stressful day at school but try!). To sum up, my favourite track of all time. I will be back soon. Recommended Route: Down?

, from Wirral Summary: Im confused a little....... there is a review for Nannerch and a review for Llangwyfan - judging by the descriptions, they are one and the same course! doh! This trail is cool tho, used to be called the "Scouse Trail" I think. Ive got the course completely nailed now, only bits that slow me down are the log drop and the big vert at the end - dont get me wrong - I do em, just have to apply a little braking power first! he he he All you gaylords who seem to think this course is unridable on a hardtail...... THINK AGAIN. When this trail was origionally built, most peeps could only afford hardtails as full bouncers were relatively new to the scene. Ive ridden it on my hardtail and its well cool, a bit less "comfortable" - and you have to be a little more acurate, but it still rocks. In fact, I went the other week on my hardtail, and was only a second or two behing my mate on his 9.5" highoctane with risse champ forks. Recommended Route: top to bottom - the other way just doesnt feel as good for some reason. Other recommended trails in the same area: Moel Famau is fast, but with only one real technical ride down (the other 3 are more flat out fast windie trails), full on DHers might scoff at it - its still a lot of fun tho!
