, from Portishead - Gordano Valley MTB Cl;ub Summary: Lots of singletrack - watch out for the boulders, roots etc. Lung bursting climbs and awesome descents. Recommended Route: Park up at the old Ham Green Hospital near Pill. Take the cycle-pathway (nice views) until you get to the lower entrance to Paradise Bottom. Start climbing - then the world is your oyster - plently of routes through Leigh Woods and the adjoining Ashton Court. Downhills, climbs, singletrack - the works. This area has something for everyone - from beginners to expert. During the summer, there are regular races at Ashton Court run by a local bike shop. Cost approx 8 per head. Other recommended trails in the same area: Nortons Wood near Clevedon.
