Summary:
I would advise extreme caution on this trail. I did it once and it hurt. Several beers first might help but best just avoid it. Not much of a workout either. Very similar in length and technical difficulty to "down the garden path"

Recommended Route:
Go straight from the road to the hedge - don't be tempted to take any of the myriad of alternative routes (e.g. towards the gate, over the molehill, along the kerb etc.)

Summary:
One of the shorter rides. At least the return trip wasn't laborous -- for my front wheel looked like a taco, and I had mud caked in my hair when I was finished.

For a longer outing consider running this route from other direction, through the hedge then into the ditch.

Summary:
...wow! Some route man, but way too hardcore for me! I've only ridden it once but got all scratched up by lots of nasty hawthorn and then fell into the field beyond which was unluckily populated by a crazed looking rutting bull on heat! Man, my ass sure is sore and there's no way I'm going back there again!
