Campo Delta

Rocky single track with some steep extended technical climbs, crazy technical descents, and fast open bombing trails...a littel bit of everything for every one but advanced riders will enjoy this trail more than beginners. Be sure to run a little higher air pressure if you don't have tubless tires to avoid pinch flats from the rocks.

Trail Directions
From the center of Aviano, go towards the mountain highway. Once you reach the mountain highway, turn left (South West). After about 3/4 of a km, take the right up the side of the mountain towards Piancavallo. After about 300 meters up the hill, you see a gaurd rail on the left as the road starts the first switch back to the right. There is a break in the left gaurd rail where the trail starts. Stay right the the first couple of trail intersections, and it will eventually take you around "Campo Delta" parking lot, and then on across the dry river bed to Dardago. Above Dardago near the picnic area, you can catch the trail head again to continue on to Polcenigo. At the center on Polcenigo, you can turn around and ride the trail backwards back up hill to Dardago and return to Aviano. If you get off coarse...just follow the mountain range South West. As long as you're on the mountain side of the highway, you can't get lost.

The trail description is perfect. I'm a relatively inexperienced rider and the trail is definitely a workout but well worth the effort. Very fun ride.

Recommended Route:
There are an unlimited number of trail options. Really the furthest you can get off course is to run into the mountain highway, which i managed to do. When in doubt on which way to go, turn right (towards the mountain).

Other recommended trails in the same area:
If you ride up behind the dome on Via Del Santuario, there are various MTB routes that intersect with the road and are marked with red spray paint on the ground. They are highly technical decents that are beyond my capabilities as i have to dismount quite often on most of the trails. There is a map of them at http://www.ornedosport.it/nuovamappa.htm
