Summary:
Yeah i know this trail i used to go up the hill to go play soccer but its not that big, ill say pretty small
but im not really a xc rider but and im trying to find a downhill/jump/freeride place to ride and some people to ride with in the area so if you r interested in ride with me or know any good place tell me

Recommended Route:
From herleen or landgraaf, when u enter brunssum its just before the first traffic circle on the right. From the back gate ur turn left on the first street in the neederlands and than right at the first one and left at the traffic circle and continue on the next on and its just to ur right

Other recommended trails in the same area:
there is one dirt jump trail in herllen but its was primarly made for bmx

Summary:
To put this place in perspective, it's just a huge park, there is lots of single and a few small technical hills, problem is none of the single track lasts for more 1 1/2 km's a goood thing is to just go in and get lost, there are all these short little trails everywhere, it's a big singletrack maze, fun ride but no continuity

Recommended Route:
Get on the AFNorth Inn service road and take the first right after the speed bump, take the first left onto some single track and follow it till it comes out above the sand dune things.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Nature Spark just outside the back Gate of GK, and another park between Schinveld and the Naturespark by GK, also a big one down by Aachen.

Summary:
Schooter's park is pretty wet and muddy year round, a few short techincal climbs but nothing to terribly hard. AFNorth portion very short but a couple nice switch back areas that can test you along with a nice little shoot at the end. Brunssumheide loops are great for the area. Easy access to the trail by the International Inn by the round about. Definately worth looking into. I think they are pretty well marked but you can get off trail pretty easy also. Good trail for beginners and intermediate riders.

Recommended Route:
Hit Schoother's park, AFNorth slag heap (Sports fields), then cross over to the heide. Lots of kilometers and lots of different terrain.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I believe it's called Schimler, just past Schinnen exit coming from Herleen. Real small loop but a decent climb followed by a nice downhill. Loop only about 2-3 K long though.

ALL 3 ROUTES ARE SUPERB, BUT AUTUMN TIME IS BETTER THAN SUMMER IF YOU LOVE THE MUD THEN THE AMAZING CONTRAST OF SURFACES AND CONDITIOND EAT YOU UP.

Recommended Route:
DO THEM ALL!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
A ROUTE HAS BEEN ALTERED RECENTLY. BEHIND THE AFNORTH SPORTS FIELDS A MAKESHIFT ROAD HAS BEEN PRODUCED IN THE WOODS AND HAS TAKEN OVER SOME OF THE EXCELLENT TERRAIN, AFTER THIS YOU CONTINUE ALONG THE ORIGINAL ROUTE ALONG A CLIFF TYPE EDGE. YOU CAN CONTINUE THE ORIGINAL EXIT FROM THE DROPS BUT THEY ARE NOW NOT MAINTAINED SO BE CAREFULL!! THE NEW EXIT HERE IS WIMPISH AND VERY EASY.

Summary:
The trails are exciting and also very picturesque - but watch out! The terrain changes rapidly, one minute you can be dodging trees to surfing in sand to getting sticky in the mud. Plenty of hills even though Holland does not have many, the "inclines" are pretty long and give your muscles a good pounding. I'm a new comer to this sport but this site is well worth a crack!!

Recommended Route:
Brunssum has 3 routes which you can join together very easily.
