Weekend Warrior Summary: The trail is a part of a.. confused trail network at Ymmitos mountain, above Eartern Athens. the most known entrance is fromthe tarmac road that leads from Kessariani Monastery to the Millitary Antennas over the top of Ymmitos.
Please do note that this trail is NOT a DH cource. It is a narrow singletrack that has been many times mistaken from local riders as a hardcore DH track, thing that is wrong as this trail is used mostly from climbers.
So when into 10 be carefull not to crash on people!
The trail has nice rocky sections, and it is mainly covered from limestone and marble. Quite slippery when whet.
Please have in mind that is some sections there are some confusing false entrances, mainly created by stupid motocross riders!
The trail can lead you to a large variety of other routes and it can be ridden by XC bikes too! (although none of these seen there, strangelly enough). Recommended Route: from the katehaki bridges to the monastery though trails and from there to the firewatch tower (Birofilakio) and up to the top of the mountain though an easy narrow fireroad.
Once up to the top, descend one killometer from the tarmak road and after a close left turn you'll see the entrance of the trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: -The 5
-The Kalopoula trail
-The fireroad to Lakka halidous
-The east slopes 5 trail.
-The trail network between Anthouse tower & Agia Paraskevi
-The taxiarhes Trails (nice marble rock wall ride there)
-The koutalas (were hercules got his.. weapon) trails network
