The road from Kritsa village is going uphill from 350 m alt. to 1.100 m. alt. The first 8-9 km are asphalt road and then is dirt road in good condition. As we ascend the view to Mirabello gulf iw awesome. After we pass an oak tree forest we rich the crest and we see Katharo plateau. We take water from here and we go straight ahead. We keep our east direction for about 5km (keep right) . Then we ascend for a while and we follow the dirt road right to SELAKANO village. Now we are in the south side of Crete and we look towards the Libyan sea. From Selakano we descend to CHRISTOS village. Just before enter the village we turn left and follow the road. In the next junction we descend following the left branch. We cross Sarakina river (an excellent canyon is on our right)and after 500m we turn right on the ashalt road. After 8 km. we meet the MITHOI village and after 12 more km we are again next to the sea in MYRTOS village. Time for a swim !!!

Trail Directions	From Aghios Nikolaos city we take the asphalt road to Kritsa traditional village (alt. 350m). In Kritsa we turn right and we follow the 16 KM road to Katharo plateau.
