Bad Wildbad MTB Park

7 different courses to include down hill, dual slalom, XC and free ride. The DH is NO JOKE! For the DH you are required to have full protective gear including full face helment. They also rent the gear if you do not have it.

Summary:
I just rode the park yesterday and the MTB park is in need of some major repair. There are some fun Trails in the park ALL of which need repair. Where to start. The Duel Slalom course is very short and not very technical and has lots of areas that have been washed out. The Biker X course is very fun with lots of berms and table top jumps. The berms have WAY to many breaking bumps and some are even eroded from rain. The table tops have absolutely no lips and the its very slippery with very loose dirt on top of hard pack. The North Shore stuff is really fun but is to short. It has two lines that converge into one. it has one teater and one drop, it to is in need of repair but nothing major to make it unsafe to ride. There is a DJ area that is absolutely crap. its all over grown and there are no lips in the jumps. the DH course is NOT for the faint at heart. If you dont have a full blown DH rig, i wouldnt suggest this course, it is very technical. right of the bat it is the longest rock garden Ive have ever ridden. with some nice drops coming out of the garden right into another one. BUT, the DH course is fun. the rating is for the entire MTB park. i gave it a low overall rating for the amount of repair that is needed. Oh And the lift was Broke so we had to walk everything we went down, The DH course is the only exception because you could catch a train back to the top of the hill.

Recommended Route:
Autobahn A8 is ok. but if you drive towards Munich you are going in the opposite direction. You have to drive to Karlsruhe. When you reach one of the exits at Pforzheim there will also be a exit to Bad Wildbad or Wildbad.
