Schmelztal

From the Lohrberg its basically all the way downhill to Bad Honnef. From the shelter you take a rather steep singletrail down to the road that heads to the Loewenburg. Cross the road an continue on a wider trial that turns into a beautiful singletrail with lots of rocks and roots. At the end of this trail, follow a highspeed fireroad all the way to the Schmelztal. Cross the Road there an immediatly turn left (ignore the fence). Youll be rewarded by about twenty steps an a nice singletrail. Basically follow this trail all the way down to Bad Honnef, alwasy more or less parallel to the Schmelztalroad. Some technical parts, but mostly sweet singletrail surfing. Enjoy!

Summary:
The reviewed trails lacks easyness of survey in most parts and thus can't be ridden that fast. But it's a wonderfully technical uphill trail so you might want to start in Bad Honnef, taking the road to Aegidienberg first. Leave this road where a narrow path leading to a small bridge crosses the creek on the right. You're on the right way by now. Take care.

Recommended Route:
Do it uphill!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
For the Schmelztal-Up'n Downhill being rather short, I'd propose trying the on or other trail or forrestry road in the woody hills of the Siebengebirge. There are some interestring trails in southern part of these nature preserve but those are hard to find (and to describe as well). Heading north from the upper Schmelztal will get you in a wide playground.
