Weekend Warrior Summary: The mountain biking in the Les Arcs area is just superb. Was there for a week staying in Sainte Foy with The White Room ( www.whiteroomchalet.com ). Rode in a different place every day, but we did come back to Les Arcs twice. Didn't think much of what I saw of the waymarked trails (except Black 8 - superb!) but some of the hidden singletrack in the woods was awesome - tight, steep & gnarly. Descents go on for ever. The unmarked trails are pretty hard to find though - we'd really have struggled without our guide. Recommended Route: From the top of the Transarc all the way down to Bourg via the gnarly singletrack hidden in the trees out left of the funicular! Other recommended trails in the same area: Sainte Foy singletrack
Descent from La Rosiere to Bourg Saint Maurice

Weekend Warrior Summary: IN brief, Les Arcs is the new Morzine/Les Gets in some ways.
Its got plenty of DH courses, and its still relatively unknown (for now!) so the trails are in much better condition. But unlike LEs Gets, that is the tip of the iceberg. The valley is twice the size, so the runs can be twice as long.
The real Gem is the literally 100s Kms of paths (not dedicated DH runs) that with a help of a good guide, you would never come near to covering in a week of riding. Endless, flowing singletrack is the name of the game here.
If you've done Morzine more than once, and want to go to the next level, try this....
...UNLESS you have a heavy 10" travel rig, in which case just keep to Morzine and dont come to LEs Arcs to ruin all the good trails there! Recommended Route: Easy to find classic is black 8 from the funnicular, but by no means is it the best.
Go see a guide if you want the ride of your life.

, from London Summary: Can't be bothered to write a detailed review - it's all top stuff though. Recommended Route: The black run from the top of the Funicular back down to bourg is excellent but there are loads of trails on the mountain. Other recommended trails in the same area: It's right in the middle of the Alps so you can't go too far wrong.
