White Track

At the White Track Ski area, park at the far parking lot, go south along the east side of the hill, and soon you will see a whole bunch of trails branching off on the south side of the hill.
*** For your info, there will be a 2000 Canada Cup at this site.
Take the TransCanada highway west from Regina or east from Moose Jaw. About five KMs from Moose Jaw there will be a big sign showing the turnoff to the Buffalo Pound Prov. Park. Go north at this exit and take this highway straight into the Prov. Park. The entry fee is $5 per vehicle and turn right just before you descend the hill into the park.
Summary: It's all Saskatchewan riding of course, so the scale of goodliness must be adjusted. However, white track is a very nice place to ride, and in the trees the singletrack is very fun at all times. There are also one long windin section with many drops and low overhead trees, making for an unexpected challenge. That said, you should also go to the Greenroom...for a laugh. Go to the top of the Heaven trail, cross the road, and go into the trees on the other side. The stunts in the greenroom are so poorly planned and built that nobody with a respect for their body would ride them. Now, before I get slandered by the Moose Jaw guys who built this stuff, keep in mind that I spent the summer riding in Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Sun Peaks, and Silver Star. I rode bigger and longer stunts there than I have here, but the difference was that they were well built, so if you rode them properly you had a chance. Come on Greenroom guys...
Recommended Route: The trails emanating from the campground near the base of the ski hill. NOT the greenroom, here's why...

Summary: BobKnobby the KnobGobbler. Anyways we don't all listen to country and drive pick up trucks, and I bet any day of the week us little prarie people could take you to white track and kick your @ss on any of the trails. Obviously he never found the greenroom where DH bike with 6" of travel are justifiable. As for the trails, they are amazing, you can't throw an epic ride here but you can have a good time and ride all day and have fun if you wanted too. Some trails are technical and some are just fast and fun, everything flows here and has a good rythym to it. Fun is the key to riding white track and they have a good race too. no thanks to Boh's Cycle though (seriously) If you can do roots as many times as you can it's a great trail and everytime you do it you'll go faster and have a little more fun, and if your the extreme type go to the greenroom, Dr Evil Awaits you and if he's to scary I'm sure MiniMe will do you just fine.
Recommended Route: go to buffalo pound provincial park and ride the white track ski hill

Summary: Was just out Sunday July 16 and rode the race course. A lot of grinding and full speed decents. I've biked a lot of places, even down in Moab and if your out with the right group of guys, this can be challenging and a hell of a lot of fun. Try to get out and ride the course, and even go to the race. You will not be disappointed. The course will separate the men from the boys. Go MASHERS
Recommended Route: Canada Cup 2000 course
