Summary:
I've been riding this trail about 3 0r 4 times a year for the last 7 or 8 eight years. It doesn't change at all from year to year, but it is good way to get out on the bike and hit some single track right in our own back yard. There really isn't any hard or technical parts to this trail but it is great for the novice rider who hasn't done very much if any off road biking. If you are looking for a challenge and are fairly experienced rider, then this trail is not for you. But if you like a leisurly ride through some tall grass and some dense brush, then this is the ride you are looking for.

Summary:
Don't waste your precious time here. Flat, bike path-style, overgrown, ten-foot-wide trails aren't my preferred rides. You could be riding technical, fun, un-toothache-like trails at Wascana Trails or White Track or in Avonlea. Or you could go to an insurance seminar. P.S. Hot s*it frorider guy who complained about the difficulty or lack thereof of the Roots trail, this is the spot for you!

Summary:
I posted the stuff about the trail. The only other advice is to watch out for people who sometimes (rarely) use the trail for walking in summer. Don't go on the trail if it looks like they just mowed it (I think they do it only once in fall). I did and the thorn trees along the trail were shred into the trail and caused both my tires to have pinhole leaks. The rating I give is for beginner/intermediate riders.
