Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Saskatoon Summary: This is a good trail for begginers or lame-a$$ prairie kids that think they are mtn bikers. It has no technical riding, no steeps except one short one you have to walk up for 10 mins to get a 30 sec(if you're lucky) ride down. It is great for killing time. Recommended Route: Riverbank to 42nd St. bridge, under the bridge and onto the trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: If you are lucky you will find the secret network at Diefenbaker, but I'm not gonna tell you where it is.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Regina, Sk Summary: I've only ridden in this area once, but I had quite a blast with my buddy from the West Side. Neither of us had done this trail (network of trails) before, yet by the time we made it back to the starting point, we both had used up enough energy that we were able to spoil ourselves with a slurpy. The area consist mainly of singletrack and seems to go on for miles along the riverbank. Probably a little hard for the novice rider, but the intermediate rider should have a good time. Recommended Route: Same as above Other recommended trails in the same area: Don't know any others in or around Saskatoon

Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Saskatoon Summary: This is a decent group of trails that go on for miles north of the Circle Drive bridge (aka 42nd Street bridge I believe). About 1.5km north of the bridge there is a street drainage outlet. Between this and the bridge there are numerous singletracks of varying difficulty. The largest and most used is maintained (to some degree) by the Meewasin Valley Authority which builds/repairs the couple of bridges/footbridges which cross the small streams in the area. The trail closest to the river is a pain as it is nearly grown over and often full of mud. The next trail is the main trail and a fairly easy ride. Numerous peds and occasionally berry-pickers can be found on this trail, especially on weekends, making riding difficult. The next trail breaking from (and later connecting to)the main one (ironically marked as a X-country ski trail with quite steep hills at both ends of it) is a bit more technical and rarely has peds on it. The top of the river valley also has a very easy trail good for warming down. North of the drainage outlet are some moderate to difficult singletracks. At the moment the city has bulldozed the slope about 50m wide immediately north of the outlet (to build another perhaps or expand the current one) so the entrance has been partially hidden. The northern section of this trail appears to be used occassionally for competitions (I found it marked once) and has some _very_ steep winding ascents and descents. Rocks of various sizes (fist to head sized) are embedded everywhere on several of the steep sections. On one slope section the trail follows a ridge so falling here results in tumbling down the slope to the left or right. The trail continues for kilometers outside city limits but I have yet to sample that. Other recommended trails in the same area: Area between Diefenbaker park and the riverbank has several short paths (3-700m). Most of these connect the park and the riverbank gravel path. Somewhat technical if only going up and down the slope. Also a singletrack in trees running parallel to lower gravel path but is relatively easy.

, from S'toon Summary: Lots of options as there are different paths some that are easy and a few that are more challenging. The best riding it north of the psycho center (prison 4 nutjobs). A few wheelie drops, some fast singletrack, and you definitely have to climb the spine.
Recommended Route: see above Other recommended trails in the same area: South of the city are some really technical stuff but you need to know somebody in order to find it. You can ride G1 & G2 south of Diefenbaker park, ride down to the river and you'll find the trail.
