Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from North Battleford Summary: All I can say is that this is the best trail around for all kinds of riding. Some guys are always building on to the trail so you can do some drops if you are into it or you can just ride the trails for cross country. I find it better to go off the trail and try all the other stuff this place has to offer. This trail can be ridin by any kind of person not just the hard core rider. I know this was the first real trail I rode when I started to ride and I still ride it to this day. I think I ride it at least twice a week and everyone around should make a trip to try it out.
Recommended Route: Same directions everyone else gave but go to the cement wall and the trail will start from there. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hill of Death

, from Hobbema Summary: Just go balls out and don't use brakes because only pusses use thier brakes on this trial. Try not to bother any of the people from the hospital, also they like to catch a ride on the handle bars. Recommended Route: Start at the cement wall and the fun starts there. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hill of Death

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Reviewed by: Sven Summary: L.B. recut this abandoned motocross track about four years ago. The river prevents you from ever getting lost. There is about 250feet of elevation between the river and the field above the trails. The trail makes good use of this by winding back and forth between the two elevations. This is good xc riding in here. No major surprises like drops or obsticals and very few blind corners But it is not so manicured that it comes across as a an XC race course. Recommended Route: Ignore my posting from a year and a half ago about going in by the water treatment plant. The no trespassing sign is still in effect and those routes are so unused that they have grown over and arn't even worth looking at any more. Follow the gravel road down river from the top of Saskatchewan Hospital. When you get to the beginning of a rock wall there is a singletrack dropping off into the woods just before it. Follow that down the bulldozer's swath of destruction and when you hit the double track head east to the PeeGee man sign. Other recommended trails in the same area: There has been a trail, currently unnamed, that has been in the process of being cut for the last three years from Sask hospital to the graveyard. It runs parallel to the peegee man but closer to the top. It consists of a long middle section. To keep it hidden from the non-cyclists in the area, (The first quarter mile of it was decimated by heavy machinery.) no entrance has ever been cut and so it is known to very few people. One of the local cyclists stumbled upon it this spring and he cut an access to it at the end of the rock wall mentioned earlier. He cut a nice short down hill section with a couple of dirt jumps leading in to the trail. A few guys have erected a cedar bridge off to the side of this trail and it is visible from the field above the trail. The brige is worth checking out if you like sick drops. Everything out there is a work in progress so you will have to turn around and ride back on the same trail or do some bush whacking. It is ridable both ways for all but one hastily cut section by the cans but it's a short hike.
