Douglas Park
10 reviews

Douglas park is a short and boring place to ride but it is a great place to train because the hills are short and kind of steep and you can realy work yourself to the limit if you're there for long enough. There's nothing technical I've tried to do a few things but they didn't work, the descents are very fast and there is a killer jump at the bottom of one of the fastest descents.

Summary:
This is really a waste of time. There is one hill with a few ways of climbing it and going down it. As well, there is some small sections of singletrack through the trees near the hill. Not worth the effort to visit. If I could rate lower than a 1, I would.

Recommended Route:
It's the only high point in the south end of the city. You can't miss it.

Wascana Trails.

Summary:
At this place, go to the place where all of the tree stumps are piled up. If the Park Authority hasn't been there lately, there will be highly technical lines of tree stumps and toned-down North Shore stuff (sometimes). Everything else: only used for training.

Recommended Route:

Summary:
If you have never ridden a mountain bike before you might want to try this place out to get your courage up going down hills, some climbing skills etc but it gets real boring fast. I do ride it every day on my way to work/school as it's close by.

Recommended Route:
It's the highest point of land in Regina besides the dump in the north end. Ride towards the hill.

Summary:
Don't waste your time here! Let's see, there's a couple of climbs and descents and a little bit of non-technical singletrack. Wonderful, eh?

Recommended Route:
Just ride around

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There's terrific riding at Wascana Trails, Buffalo Pound (at the ski hill), and in and around Avonlea. Visit these places instead.
