Lots of epic downhills, badlands riding, even some technical. Is this in Saskatchewan? You wouldn't know it...

Trail Directions
This site is situated several kms. west of the town of Avonlea. Once at Claybank, head north on the same road as the brick factory and continue on up the hill. I'd suggest parking at the clearing along the fence and getting on the bike. Climb the rest of the hill on your bike. You'll see a sign that says that you're entering the Claybank Hunting Reserve, the main trailhead is at the statue of bike parts.

Summary:
Yes it's George I am from Saskatchewan. The important part of this review is that Claybank may be taken off the "able to ride" list in the near future. The Claybank Historical Society (private org) has put a bid in to purchase the lands which the trails are on. Anybody who has been accosted by the caretaker at the plant knows they don't like mtn. bikers. I have informed the S.C.A. and some of the clubs in the area to see if something can be done but received no response (typical). Otherwise this is a great place to ride (and one of the few) in Saskatchewan. Badland terrain and probably the toughest stuff outside the Greenroom at White Track. Great if you like challenging technical riding without going "North Shore" type man made stuff.

Same as above

Summary:
thanks to the hard work of a few people, this area is getting better than ever. The new routes are amazing. As soon as the snow clears (2 more weeks?) and drys up completely check it out. Lots of new trails. Go out with someone who has been there a dozen times and can link all the trails and you will have an adrenalin blast.

Summary:
This is a fun place to bike around for half a day. Very small badlands area, not to much to ride on. Some neat singletrack right above the brick plant including the "three-part drop". The tree riding would be nice if it was more cleared out. I wouldn't say that there are any epic climbs here, but definitely medium ones. There aren't any downhills that an average recreational MTB'er couldn't handle.

Recommended Route:
Same as other reviewers.
