Red Rabbit Trail (Cap St-Jacques Park)

The trail is actually a combination of paved road, singletrack and fireroads. Only the first 700 metres or so is paved. Most of it is singletrack, although there are some fireroads that link to it. Just follow the red rabbit signs throughout the trail. You should come across a sugar shack so keep that as a mental marker when you hit the trail.
There's sections of the trail where its hardpacked, and other section are graval tracks or soft dirt. The trail is a loop of the entire nature park, so you should end up at where you started. Some parts are challenging, especially where the trail takes a sharp turn (on gravel track too!). Watch those beds and try to stay on the trail...say hi to the horses when you zip past them in the field!
Just go along Chemin Senneville from either the 40 or the 20. Turn into Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue and then keep following Rue Saint-Anne into Senneville. The public park is located towards the end where there's a mini sorta agricultural place....barns, vegetable plots, etc...
The trailhead is located on the left just as you reach the parking lot. There's a small sign with a red rabbit (hence red rabbit trail) on it. That's where I usually start. A map of the area is located at the parking lot so you can see how the trail goes.
Summary: Note that it is ILLEGAL to ride this trail -- only the turtle & squirrel trails (green & blue) are open to bikes. Check the park map for detailed info:
And regarding "zipping past horses"... Please don't do that either. When you see a horse, trail etiquitte dictates that you should stop & wait for instructions from the rider.
When doing things like this, it's no wonder mtn bikers get such a bad rap!!!!
Recommended Route: Green & blue trails.
