Cross Country Rider Summary: Once you find your way around this place is amazing! Lots of fun technical routes with teeth chattering downhills and lung exploding uphills. I would not have had nearly as much fun if I had not met a pair of local embassadors at Casa Bromont. They showed what Bromont riding and Eggs Benedict were all about. You will be thoroughly challenged and will leave with a huge smile on your face anticipating your next ride there. Recommended Route: The fastest one to the bottom of the hill.

, from Ottawa Summary: Poor trail markings. Took a nice straight line trail only to be chased down by a Bromont 5-O on an ATV who told me that the trail was an "uphill" trail and theatened to clip my ticket if he found me on it again. Those cross country riders in their pink tights still seem to have some sway at Bromont to have an otherwise good downhill trail turned into cardio-central. On the real downhill runs (if you can find them), they are well cut and quite technical. Watch out for pedestrian and cross country traffic though (apparently only dh riders are targetted for expulsion from Bromont). Low rating is for poor staff, lack of respect to dh riders and awful trail markings. Recommended Route: Not worth the drive. Other recommended trails in the same area: Go to Blue Mountain in Ontario. Similar technicals without the lycra crowd and fascist Bromont 5-O.

, from scarborough ON Summary: Bromont blew us away! More than we ever expected. They have a fantastic facility and the people are great. We rented a couple of downhill bikes (Norco VPS Team DH and Drop) and had the best time ever. This place totally improved my confidence in my own riding abilities and had me riding over and off stuff faster than I ever thought I could with no fear at all. Super technical and steep stuff all over the place and I bailed more times than I can count but still had the best time I've ever had on a bicycle. This place makes you rethink the way you look at cycling. If you are getting bored with biking in your own area come here for the weekend, rent a downhill bke and some body armour and blast runs down Bromont all day. You will love your bike all over again and buy a second bike like a VPS Shore. Recommended Route: Chairlift Other recommended trails in the same area: ?

, from Rutland Vermont Summary: Great place for downhillers but watch out for the x-country riders (Spandex with Attitude) climbing up the dh trails. They're easy to spot. Look for flashy colors, an angry stare and the lightweight bike they'll wind up walking down the mountain (or jamming their v-brakes all the way down and slowing down the fearless dh riders. Bromont should ban x-country riders. Four tires - if the spandex crowd disappeared, I'd give Bromont a 5. So maybe I'm a bit overweight cardio-king - but at least I can have some spice in my life going down the mountain. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ste. Anne, Killington

, from Montreal Summary: Bromont is a great place to ride. The terrain can be just tricky enough to keep you on your toes without making it a hiking trip. There are enough easy trails for virtually any skill level. Be wary of the fat-assed downhill junkies, though. Many think that bombing down the easiest trails, completely out of control, on the equivalent of a Humvee is what it's all about. Pre and post-season, when the lifts have been shut down, is clearly the best time to ride. Would be five stars, except for the fact that the hill is dependent on the uphill-challenged to make a buck. Recommended Route: Extra-legere up the mountain and your pick of dozens going down.
