Batiscan River Park

Trails aren`t that hard here, so don`t be afraid to go. Start at trailhead #2 near the dam, and pedal up against the water current. #21 is a killer indeed!

Once a year

Summary:
Riviere Batiscan is a nice play to go once a year. The river is very nice and the trails are all around and very short. Its a camping site so a lot of people are walking in the trails. A lot of nice chicks though. The trails are easy to ride and do not miss trail #2 because you will probably be very diasapointed with the ride. Trail #2 is one hardcore trail that is very fun to ride, the trail ressemble the trail at Rougemont. A lot of flow, rocks, roots and the river right on your side. Overall, most of the trails suck and to much people walking around.

Summary:
Its really beautiful especially in the fall. The waterfalls and rapids and a touch of excitement as you go buy on woden bridges at 25Km\h The #2 is my favorite good technical but you can make a good speed. The 5 is kinda short (1km one way) but pretty intense somewhat lung busting

Recommended Route:
take the 40 and then follow the Parc de la rivire batiscan signs I sugest you go in through the St. Genvive entrance

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Le maikan (just off the 40 before bridge for cap de la madelaine)

Summary:
The Batiscan park is very beautifull. A wonderfull place for family outings. Unfortunately the trails aren't very challenging, so not to MY liking. I also didn't find them very well planned. If you're looking for trails to go on family rides, this could be a good place. But if you're like me and like a challenge, the entrance fee isn't worth the money. I was very disapointed. 1 tire for value, and 2 for the beauty of the park! O.k. I'll be generous and round up the 1.5 average!
