Ridden Trail: Once a week

Reviewed by: Alex Dove
, from Ottawa, ON, Canada, eh! Summary: Part of the National Championship course. Very good climb to get the legs and lugns going at the start, great for passing too. Technical muddy sections, uphill and downhill switchbacks. Very fun. I raced this at the Sunset series and at the Nationals, and rode it at least 3 times a week with the camp I worked at. Recommended Route: Follow the arrows ... Other recommended trails in the same area: 6.9, or National XC course. Multiple, foreplay, #32, Wolfe trails. go to the firetower if you like LSD (long slow distance)

, from Ottawa Summary: It's got just about everything you could want in an XC trail. Recommended Route: It's not the 5K trail anymore now it's the 6.8K trail but everyone knows it as the Camp Fortune XC Race Trail.

, from Ottawa Summary: If you're referring to the 5km race course at Camp Fortune, its a good ride - a 20 minute lap at most for an intermediate rider - nothing too technical, just a good pump. There are many other choices leading from the start line, including the Quebec Cup Expert course (about 8 or 9km - depending on route) which is a killer technical course with no shortage of tough, steep climbs and extremely technical wooded sections - a neverending source of FUN! Recommended Route: Too many to list from this trailhead, but #9, #22, #4, #34 are good choices. BTW, where did you learn to spell? Other recommended trails in the same area: See comments
