Mont Tremblant XC Ski trails

Many different trails to choose from. All kinds of terrain, from rolling paved paths, to hilly technical singletrack full of babyhead rocks, roots and off camber turns. Watch out for families, hikers and rollerbladers when you're on the pavement. Watch out for endos when you're off it.
At the bottom of the ski hill, follow the paved multi-use trail in either direction. If you're not sure, ask at any of the information booths, or at the bike rental places. Maps are also available (see website below). Follow the blue signs for any of the xc ski trails. They are named things like the Lynx, the Jackrabbit, L'ecureiul (squirrel), etc.
Summary: 2003 Update for those who have not been, and are debating. They stopped all downhill, and most of the trails are gravel/paved. There are a few singletrack trails that are nice, but are very poorly marked. The information center has a map, which is good for toilet paper if you are lost in the woods. Your best bet is to find a local rider, and ask where the trails start. I rank it poorly because it is very easy to get lost.
Other notable items, if you are heading there, park at the information center, not Tremblant's parking lot. There are no fees to pay there, and none are required to ride the trails. Also be ready to climb hills, there are a ton there!

Summary: The main paved path is pretty boring, and has lots of walkers, roller bladers and families on bikes, so be careful. However, follow it to any of the singletrack trails, and you're in for some fun. They're generally pretty well marked by the little animal signs, but there are a few places where they don't lead to any real trail that I could find. (out onto the fairway of the golf course, for example.) Remember that they're primarily ski trails, so they're not always all there during the summer. The trails that I did find were excellent. Lots of technical roots, rocks, off-camber turns, etc, with some tricky climbs and descents and the odd smooth flat section for a bit of a break. Overall, pretty technical, and not for beginners who are just out for a ride in the woods. (I had to tighten my headset a couple of times, since it was taking a beating.) Some of the trails are kind of short, but you can hook them together in whatever combination you want.
Recommended Route: Go to the botton of the Ski hill, check at the bike rental shop at the bottom of the village across from the parking lot, and go from there. Trail maps are available.
