, from halifax Summary: excellent singletrack through private land. mature hardwoods, small technical climbs and descents and generally nice, well-maintained trail. intermediate skill level. roots and rocks throughout. rideable when wet but obviously more difficult. routefinding not a problem. continues for 8 signed km and then ends at MacEachern road: a typical PEI dirt road. You can either return from where you came or left on the road back to the main (paved) St.Catherine's Rd. Left on this road will lead you back to trailhead in 3-4km. Lots of fun. Recommended Route: turn south off the trans-canada in bonshaw on the st.catherine's road. trail is on the right about 300m. look for logs in the ditch. start there. Other recommended trails in the same area: brookvale

, from Kitchener ON Summary: I rode this trail this summer on a vacation, had a little trouble finding it because I was looking for a bridge. I agree with the previous review, just look for the 10 little logs in the ditch. The trail was very good, lots of roots, some nice short climbs. The beginner wouldn't have alot of fun because of some of the technical areas but riders with a bit of experience will have a good time.

, from Moncton, New Brunswick Summary: What a neat trail. Some of the hills pretty steep and ongoing requiring momentum. Lots of downhill sections which never seem to end. Lots of fun. Roots and bumps, not too many rocks. Great "cross country" trail. Top five. Recommended Route: As stated above, except trail is exactly 300m on right, bidge is actually about 10 small logs in the ditch. There is a sign, about 8inches bt 5 inches stating "START"

Ridden Trail: Once a year

, from Essex, Ontario Summary: I was in PEI over the Xmas holidays (1999) and rode this trail on recommendation of the folks at Smooth Cycle in Charlottetown. I hit it 4 times, with two occassions being in the snow, always at night. It is well marked and easy to follow. There are short climbs and descents throughout this mainly singletrack trail through a section of previously logged forest with a hefty secondary tree growth giving the trail lots of root ladden sections. Even with the snow the majority of the trail was rideable, with the exception of slipping off the roots and effectively blowing the climb. For me, it was a very enjoyable trail. At this time of year I never met anyone on the singletrack portion; and only one snowmobiler in a field section. Recommended Route: As stated above, I recommend the in and out route. Other recommended trails in the same area: Brookvale
