, from dieppe nb canada Summary: I go there once a year for the Red mud mountain mayhem race. Yes the RED MUD because in PEI the dirt is red. Luckily it wasnt mud this year. very nice singletrack except one long one that never ends. Its for intermediate riders and some single tracks maybe just for advance. Recommended Route: take the bridge Other recommended trails in the same area: well all the trails in the ski park and if your at it might as well do the dual slalom course.

Ridden Trail: Once a year

Reviewed by: Glenn Johnston
, from Essex, Ontario Summary: I rode in this area on two occassions during the Xmas holidays of 1999, on recommendation of the folks at Smooth Cycle in Charlottetown. It is mostly well maintained singletrack trails with connections of XC ski trail sections. There are lots of short ascents and descents through a moderate forest growth cover with some roots and rocks to navigate. I understand there was a MTB race held there and fortunately the barriers and arrows were still intact for me to follow the race loop. At the southern end there was a newer cut section that is somewhat more technical by its meandering climbing. There are several fast downhill runs which utilise the XC ski sections. All said and done, a great ride. Recommended Route: There are several routes one could follow, but due to the similarity of the trails throughout the area, I don't think the route taken would significantly alter the ride. Other recommended trails in the same area: St. Catherines (Bonshaw Trail)
