Summary:
Not a mountain bike trail by any definition but the scenery is beautiful. I start in Hespler at the intersection of Queen St. and Guelph Rd. (Ernie's Resteraunt and Rivers N' Trails) and ride the trail to Riverside Park in Preston. The trail goes along the Speed river and is about 20 km return. The trail extends beyond Riverside park but you have to cross the river using the bridge at King St. and turn right down the first street on the other side of the bridge.
The trail is double track with lots of turns initially. No hills to speak of. There are a lot of small bridges at the beginning and a boardwalk trail through a wetland just before Riverside park that has lots of wildlife. This is not a trail for the adrenaline junky but is a nice early season warm up and a great place for a leasurely ride after a day at work.

Recommended Route:
Follow the main trail. There are a few single tracks that go off of the main trail. I've not explored many so give them a try.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Puslinch Lake, Little Tract, Blair Trail, Hilton Falls, Kelso.

Well, like Shmitty said, it isn't really a MTN bike trail but its okay if its been raining and you want to go for a ride but don't want to get caked with mud. Its basically a Rail Trail. While your down there stop in to Rivers N Trails....its downtown they have some nice stuff, the guys are really cool too.

Recommended Route:
Go into Rivers N Trails and ask the guys, they'll know.
