Summary:
Glen Haffy consists of 2 large stocked ponds, camp grounds, and several trails for both hiking and biking. It is a very hilly region with mainly hardpacked and rocky trails.

If you are coming for your first time, you may feel there are not alot of trails to choose from, however only about 50% of the trails are marked and mapped the other 50% are unmarked and quite difficult to find unless you look around while you ride.

With that being said the marked trails are quite hilly and can give you a good workout, but they are fairly short you can use them all combined into a loop which will take about 25-35 min to do. The unmarked trails become much more technical and challanging due to the fact that they are usually not as travled (with a clear packed down paths) and have much steeper hills than the marked trails. There is also a trail to the north that will go into a loop trail in a hardpack clay feild, which will also connect to Highway 9 eventually.

With that being said you can get a very solid fast paced workout at Glen Haffy due to the hills and trails which all loop back to a central location (almost like a circuit) but if you are looking for a long ride which does not loop and continuiously covers new areas this is not the place to go.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Bruce trail, and all of the side trails.

Summary:
this trail if you are only out for a stroll is good. But, if you want something technical, in and around this area within 10 km, there are trails that will bruise the best of us. Look through the hills of hockley, off the bruce trail and even into orangeville, to Lockyers pit. you will find some much better riding, but if you just want exercise go to glen haffy. Also if you dont wanna get yourself bruised up, go to glen haffy.
