Conestogo Lake Enduro Trail

Average Rating:    (3.5 of 5)

Its a trial used by dirt bikes but they are not supposed be there. The dirt bikes are very rarely there but what they do is make some super sweet single track. The trail is full of twists and turns that are very narrow....barely enough to get a bike through. The trail is full Hawthorns (BRING SPARE TUBES!!)for the first half hour. The bikes have carved out a trail that takes at least 2 1/2 hours to ride one way, so bring some water.

Summary:
Just f.y.i. dirt bikes are allowed to ride this trail.
They do so, a number of times per year with permission and insurance for competitive events.
Its the dirtbikers who maintain the trail.

Summary:
(Sept 30 2001) I Just got back from my first ride out there in years. Its awsome. There have been a few dirt bikes through there in the last few weeks. If you like very windy single track trails with small to medium hills and small burms at most bends then this is your trail. The trail has one main rut that you follow through pine forests, hardwood forests, and open grassy medows. The trail was alot of fun I found. I only went one way for about a half hour and I encountered streams, small jumps, roots, muddy burms, leg burning climbs (my bike is 41lbs every climb is a leg burner) not too bad decents, and a dead ground hog that I ran over. The trail is on a chunk of land thats about 500-1000 acres. The trials criss-cross all over the area. I was working today about 5kms from thetrailhead and I crossed over the trail about 5 times so I know for a fact that the trail goes a looooong way.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
you know them all.
